Programme Overview:
This programme was established in 1984 with the support of the Peking University Law Department. The programme has developed an integrated educational mechanism combining a fundamental legal education platform, a practical training platform, and an international education platform. It has been recognized through several national initiatives, including the Ministry of Education’s Feature Point of Law Programme, the Base for Educating Outstanding Legal Talent, the Off-Campus Practical Education Base for University Students, the Pilot Programme for Comprehensive Reform of Undergraduate Programmes in Local Universities, and the National First-Class Undergraduate Law Programme, etc. The programme has also been honored with the Second Prize in the National Teaching Achievement Award.

2.Law (Regional Crime Information Analysis)

Programme Overview:
This programme is a collaborative initiative between Yantai University and Western Oregon University (WOU) in the United States. It was approved by the Ministry of Education in 2012 as a Sino-foreign cooperative programme in the field of law. The programme adopts a “3+1” or “4+0” training model. Under the "3+1" joint training model, students spend the first three years studying at Yantai University and have the option to study at Western Oregon University in their fourth year. Students who complete the required courses and meet the necessary standards will receive a bachelor's degree in Law and a graduation certificate from Yantai University, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Western Oregon University.
Educational Objectives:
The programme aims to cultivate professionals with a solid foundation in legal knowledge and expertise in regional crime information analysis within the field of criminal justice. Graduates will be well-versed in Chinese laws and relevant policies, enabling them to engage in legal work in legislative bodies, administrative agencies, procuratorates, judicial offices, and legal service institutions.

This programme was approved by the Ministry of Education in 2011 and began enrolling undergraduate students in Intellectual Property (IP) in 2012. In 2021, it was selected as a National First-class Undergraduate Programme Construction Site. The programme shares national and provincial-level professional development platforms and educational resources, including the Ministry of Education’s Base for the Education and Training of Outstanding Legal Talent, with the Law programme. It offers distinctive and specialised education in Intellectual Property, supported by high-level teaching and research platforms such as the National Intellectual Property Pilot University, the National Intellectual Property Training Base (Shandong), the Shandong Intellectual Property Research Institute, the Shandong Intellectual Property Soft Science Research Base, and the Shandong Copyright Teaching and Research Demonstration Base. The programme boasts a highly qualified faculty led by national-level experts, including members of the National Intellectual Property Strategy Advisory Committee, experts from the National Intellectual Property Expert Database, and top-tier talents from the National Intellectual Property Talent Programme.
